Dave McNabb

Born in Balcarres, Saskatchewan, Dave moved to Regina at the age of four. While attending high school in Regina he was introduced to the Art world through courses at his local high school.

Dave moved to Winnipeg, for University, and developed his interest in design and water colour rendering while attending Architecture at The University of Manitoba.

In 1994, Dave retired from a 30 year career in the teaching profession. Dave is now able to spend more time designing homes, painting in water colour, and sketching with pencil and ink.

Dave has been commissioned for many pieces of art and his work can be found in homes across Canada, the United States, China and Australia.

Moving from Winnipeg to Gimli in 1999, Dave has been able to dedicate more time near the water and in the surrounding countryside, which is reflected in his latest work.

Dave joined the well respected Gimli Art Club in 1999.

In 2008, Dave was selected to paint the Gimli Glider Mural on the famous Seawall Gallery Pier. This significant mural commemorates the skills and heroics of the successful landing of Air Canada Flt. 143 on July 23rd, 1983. On the 25th Anniversary the Crew returned to Gimli and, along with Dave, unveiled the mural.
